Best campsite ever! Aug 30-31

The campsite we went to had a small hiking trail (about 1 mile round trip). The trail lead to a fishing pond perfect for rock throwing, splashing kids, and taking pictures. It was not clean enough to swim in, but it was a great none the less.

The campsite

This pile of huge rocks was located right on our campsite! We had to hike away from our car to get to the spot, but it was totally worth it. This spot was perfect for climbing, playing hide and seek, and taking pictures.

Around the campsite

We had a lot of fun. This was Hollywood's first camping trip. As mentioned above we played a lot of hide and seek, made pizza in the dutch oven (so yummy), roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, played card games, and prayed that the dark clouds would not pour rain on us. (They just sprinkled, but they made a lot of noise)

Bedtime!

I wish I could say that Hollywood stayed in her bed all night, but she ended up sharing Charlie's sleeping bag. The boy slept great!

We had so much fun and hope to go back again next summer!
